Client Accounting Services
Ellie joined Cole Gavlas in 2021. In her role as a bookkeeper, she serves clients in the firm’s Accounting Services Department and supports clients in a variety of industries with payroll, bank and credit card reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Prior to joining Cole Gavlas, Ellie worked as an Office Manager and Bookkeeper at Heggerness & Bronk CPA Group in Tacoma, Washington.
Ellie always tries to understand things from every angle and consider the “why” behind every action. She describes herself as factual and likes to evaluate the utility of what she does so she can improve how she accomplishes tasks. Ellie stumbled into accounting a bit on accident, but quickly realized it was a perfect fit for the systematic, organized, detail-oriented side of herself. She loves puzzling through large amounts of data and solving problems.
Ellie grew up in Houston, Texas, and now lives in Kalamazoo with her husband and child. She is an avid reader and has loved almost every book she has read by Toni Morrison and Elena Ferrante. Though she spends most of her free time playing Legos with her four year old, she also enjoys hiking, doing crossword puzzles, learning new things, and exploring new places.
