Client Accounting Services
Jamie joined Cole Gavlas in 2022. In her role as a bookkeeper, she serves clients in the firm’s Client Accounting Services department and supports clients in a variety of industries with QuickBooks, payroll, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations. Prior to joining Cole Gavlas, Jamie did administrative work for Samaritas, a nonprofit social services organization, and for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
Jamie’s personal service philosophy is there are no failures, just results to be learned from. She describes herself as someone with a strong attention to detail, and this trait, plus her love of numbers, are what drew her to the accounting profession. Jamie is motivated by support from her family and a desire to show her son that anything is possible if you work hard enough.
Jamie grew up in Paw Paw, Michigan, and now lives in Kalamazoo with her husband Casey, her son Carter, three dogs, two cats, and one chinchilla. She loves visiting downtown Kalamazoo to try out new restaurants and visit local shops. Outside of the office, Jamie enjoys camping, riding her ATV, and doing crafts.
